The Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia continues to implement the annual Diaspora Youth Ambassador Program (Training for Diaspora Armenian Youth Leaders), which welcomes participation from youth who are both active in their communities and those just beginning their activities.
The program’s objective is to empower Diaspora Armenian youth to broaden their perspectives on Armenia’s political, social, economic, and other sectors. It aims to enhance their involvement in community life and increase the effectiveness of their activities by imparting new knowledge and skills, fostering connections, facilitating the exchange of experiences, and contributing to the development of collaboration among youth from various Diaspora communities and Armenia.
Spanning one year, the program is divided into two stages and will run from September 2024 to August 2025. It includes a 15-day stay in Armenia, from September 22 to October 7, 2024. During the remainder of the year, participants will engage in activities in their communities that were planned during the program.
The instruction will be in Armenian and combine theoretical knowledge with practical application. The curriculum includes a series of lectures, workshops, and meetings, complemented by an exchange of experiences. Participants will have the opportunity to visit state, educational, cultural, and religious institutions, as well as significant sites and regions across the Republic of Armenia.
