Sarah Stites
Director of Ayo!
Sarah Stites is the director of Fund for Armenian Relief’s Ayo! crowdfunding platform. Through Ayo!, young Armenians around the world have the chance to pool their resources to fund small-budget, big-impact projects around Armenia. Originally from the Washington D.C. area, Sarah decided to say “Ayo!” to Armenia in 2018 and hasn’t looked back. Since she moved to Gyumri, she has learned Armenian, become a dual citizen, bought an apartment, and gotten involved in lots of different projects like the opening of Armenia’s first bakery to employ people with disabilities. She loves exploring Armenia through hiking and adventure activities, and frequently travels around the country to different Ayo! project sites. Her articles primarily focus on different ways that Diasporan young people can engage with Armenia right now through Ayo! programs. Learn more at www.weareayo.org.
